Provide guidance and mentorship to design team to foster professional growth and collaboration.
Responsible for the end-to-end management of the design process, ensuring all design solutions meet client requirements, building codes, and budgetary constraints while leading the team toward high-quality project outcomes.
Review design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents to ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
Oversee project design progress, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conceptualization through to construction.
Ensure site construction aligns with the original design intent and resolve technical challenges.
Optimize design solutions for cost-efficiency without compromising quality.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a related field.
Experience in the construction/architecture industry, with at least 5 years in a Design Manager or equivalent leadership role.
Strong space planning and design detailing skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Revit.
Knowledge of BIM is an advantage.
Good knowledge of architectural details, working drawings and construction practices.
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong project coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a design team.
Proven experience in project management.
Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
