DESIGN MANAGER
Summary
A Design Manager leads a design studio in Beirut, overseeing product/interior design projects from concept through production and delivery while managing timelines, budgets, and the design team. Core tools include AutoCAD, 3ds Max/Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Design Manager to lead and manage the design studio and oversee the successful development and delivery of design projects.
The ideal candidate combines strong creative and technical expertise with leadership, project management, and organizational skills. The role requires close collaboration with clients, designers, technical teams, production teams, and management while maintaining high standards of design quality, craftsmanship, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and mentor the design studio and design team.
Oversee design projects from concept development through execution and final delivery.
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, priorities, and deliverables.
Ensure a high level of creative and technical quality across all projects.
Provide creative direction and contribute to the development of design concepts.
Review drawings, presentations, specifications, materials, and other design deliverables.
Coordinate closely with clients, designers, technical teams, production teams, suppliers, and management.
Ensure that design concepts are technically feasible and aligned with production requirements.
Monitor project progress and proactively address design, technical, or scheduling issues.
Support the professional development and performance of design team members.
Establish and improve studio workflows, processes, and project coordination procedures.
Ensure consistency in design standards and quality across projects.
Participate in client presentations, project meetings, and design reviews.
Maintain strong awareness of materials, craftsmanship, fabrication techniques, and production processes.
Support management in resource planning and other studio-related decisions.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Product Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
10–15 years of professional experience within creative industries, preferably in product design or interior design.
Proven experience in a senior design, studio management, or design leadership role.
Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality creative and technical design work.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Good knowledge of 3D Studio Max and/or Rhinoceros (Rhino).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
Strong understanding of materials, craftsmanship, fabrication, and production processes.
Excellent leadership and team-management skills.
Strong project management, planning, and organizational abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively between creative, technical, production, client, and management teams.
