Design & Project Associate
About the Role
We're looking for a Design & Project Associate who can turn a blank brief into something people stop scrolling for. At 2+1 Concepts, you'll be actively shaping the visual identity of live events, from motorsport activations like Sprint Fest Singapore to corporate engagements and community programmes — then seeing those ideas through from proposal to on-site delivery. If you get a kick out of watching your design come to life on-site, and don't mind carrying it through timelines, budgets, and client conversations along the way, this role is built for you.
Scope of Work
- Develop creative concepts and proposals for events, including preparation of quotations.
- Provide ideas and execution for various design formats (e.g., multimedia, interactive).
- Liaise with external clients, partners, and team members on project requirements.
- Attend client meetings and site visits.
- Oversee pre- and post-production of designs.
- Support project execution on-site at events.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Build long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Contribute to the development of the Company's sales revenue, network, and public awareness alongside the team.
- Assist other team members as required.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
What we are Looking For
- A portfolio that shows your work process — not just pretty graphics, but the process of how you thought through a concept and carried it across formats.
- Solid grip on design fundamentals: typography, colour, layout, composition — the elements that separate "looks fine" from "looks intentional."
- Working proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign at minimum; After Effects and Premiere Pro experience is a strong plus.
- Comfort working in both print and digital production — you understand bleed, resolution, file specs, and what affects a design when translating from screen to physical space.
- An eye for spatial/3D visualization — you can look at a floor plan or venue and picture how signage, backdrops, or booths will actually sit in that space.
- Some grasp of production and fabrication realities — print methods, materials, mounting — so what you design is something that can actually be built, not just rendered.
- Cost-awareness — you understand how material and format choices affect budget, not just how they look.
- Time management that holds up under real deadline pressure — events don't move their dates for you.
- On-site problem-solving — when a build doesn't go to plan, you adapt rather than freeze.
- A collaborative streak: you take feedback well, communicate clearly with non-designers, and don't disappear into your own workflow.
- A genuine pull toward live, physical events — you'd rather see your work standing in a venue than just posted online.
- A sense of ownership and pride over your own work.
Good to Have
- Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in events, activations, or a fast-paced creative/agency environment.
- Experience preparing event quotations and proposals.
- Experience animating event signage, backdrops, or on-site AV content.
- Prior experience working with corporate clients or in a client-facing role.
- Interest in motorsport/automotive culture (a plus given our involvement with Sprint Fest Singapore).
- A valid driving license (useful for site visits and event logistics).
To Apply
Send us your portfolio, resume, and a short note on a project you're proud of and why. We're less interested in a long list of tools you've touched and more interested in seeing how you think — show us the process, not just the final frame.
