Design Tech Specialist
Summary
First-level IT support role on Garver's internal infrastructure team, helping engineering project teams create, organize, and govern project data across collaboration, CAD/BIM, and GIS platforms such as Forma, Egnyte, and ArcGIS Online. The specialist handles project setup, permissions, file management, and user support while improving workflows through templates, documentation, and basic automati
- Create, organize, review, and maintain project workspaces, CAD/BIM files, design documentation, GIS content, and supporting reference files.
- Support project setup, permissions, metadata, standards, secure sharing, review workflows, and data governance across tools such as Forma, Egnyte, ArcGIS Online, and related platforms.
- Provide first-level user support for access requests, file management, reference file issues, workflow errors, and project technology questions.
- Improve repeatable processes through templates, documentation, reporting, workflow enhancements, and basic automation where appropriate.
- Create and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials that promote consistent digital delivery practices.
- Familiarity with project setup, folder structures, naming conventions, reference files, CAD/BIM environments, document control, and digital delivery workflows.
- Experience with Forma, Egnyte, ArcGIS Online, ProjectWise, MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Power BI, Python, PowerShell, SQL, or similar tools is helpful but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, customer-service mindset, clear communication, troubleshooting ability, and interest in supporting engineering teams through practical technology solutions.
