Design to cost
Summary
A cost consultant leads workshops to analyze and reduce design costs across mechanical/industrial systems, collaborates with engineering teams, and tracks implementation progress. Requires PLM and cost-management expertise.
The consultant will be responsible for:
- Planning and execution of cost-reduction workshops – Discussing individual components, systems, or design areas with specialized fields (cost, design, engineering) both in separate and mixed groups to identify cost-reduction opportunities – Overview of workshop planning and progress, including achieved results (improvement proposals)
- Handover of the collected ideas to the engineering team for implementation
- Follow-up on progress
- Education: Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Data Analysis, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Languages: Excellent command of both French and English.
- Experience: +5 years of experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Cost Management.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability in cross-functional leadership (Animation transversale), autonomy, and proactivity.
