Designer / Architect (5-10 yrs experience)

About the role:
As a Designer/Architect, you will support the design and delivery of projects across a variety of scales and market sectors while working closely with studio leadership and multidisciplinary teams. This position is based in DTJ's Atlanta office and is responsible for contributing to project development, documentation, coordination, and design execution. You will collaborate with colleagues across architecture, planning, and landscape architecture disciplines to deliver creative solutions that meet client goals and project objectives. This role provides the opportunity to work on diverse projects while continuing to develop your technical, design, and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities

· Contribute to the design and delivery of projects from concept through construction documentation.

· Develop, coordinate, and assemble drawing sets and project documentation packages.

· Collaborate with architecture, planning, and landscape architecture teams to deliver integrated design solutions.

· Work directly with Studio Leaders and project teams to advance project goals, schedules, and deliverables.

· Apply strong design thinking, graphic communication, and technical expertise throughout all phases of a project.

· Participate in interdisciplinary coordination with consultants and project stakeholders.

· Prepare project presentations, visual materials, and design documentation using industry-standard software.

· Utilize Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite to support project delivery and documentation.

· Support a collaborative team environment while contributing to design excellence and high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.

· 5-10 years of relevant professional architectural experience.

· Strong design and graphic communication skills.

· Experience preparing and coordinating drawing sets and construction documentation.

· Working knowledge of building construction methods and technical detailing.

· Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency with Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.

· Experience with SketchUp or other 3D modeling software preferred.
