Designer BIM/VDC (Tool Install)
Role Purpose
Kick-start your career in digital engineering by supporting the design and construction of some of the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities. As a Designer BIM/VDC (Tool Install), you will create 2D drawings and 3D models that help engineers, contractors, and clients visualize and coordinate complex engineering systems before construction begins.
This role offers valuable exposure to Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital design technology, engineering coordination, and project delivery while working alongside experienced engineers and designers on real-world projects.
Job Responsibilities
Support the preparation of BIM models and engineering drawings for tender, construction, shop drawing, and as-built stages.
Develop and update 2D drawings and 3D models for Tool Install systems under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers.
Assist in coordinating designs across multiple engineering disciplines to identify and resolve clashes before construction.
Maintain drawing revisions, model updates, and project documentation to ensure information remains accurate and current
Support project teams in generating BIM deliverables and model-based reports for project execution.
Participate in BIM coordination and design review meetings.
Assist in maintaining BIM libraries, standards, and design templates.
Support the creation of as-built models and drawings based on project changes and site feedback.
Assist with quantity take-offs and model-based reporting when required
Promote safe work practices and maintain professional standards at all times.
Job Requirements:
Nitec/Higher Nitec or Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Integrated Engineering
- Built Environment
- Architectural Technology
- Engineering Design
- Or other related technical disciplines
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Internship, school projects, CAD drafting, BIM modelling, or design software experience will be an advantage
Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software is advantageous.
- Comfortable working with computers and digital engineering tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Interest in 3D modelling, BIM technology, and digital construction processes
