You'll collaborate closely with project teams to develop design strategies, produce detailed drawings and presentations, coordinate with consultants, and help translate design intent into high-quality technical documentation. What You'll Do
- Contribute creatively to the design process by developing and presenting conceptual ideas.
- Produce 2D and 3D sketches that communicate design direction and project narratives.
- Develop design strategies, material palettes, façade concepts, and spatial compositions.
- Prepare and review drawings, models, and visualizations using Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop, and related software.
- Apply computational design tools, including Grasshopper where appropriate, to support design innovation.
- Collaborate with senior designers to develop technical packages and detailed design documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and OBMI standards.
- Update drawing packages and support quality assurance throughout project development.
- Coordinate with technical teams and consultants to translate design intent into buildable solutions.
- Assist Project Managers with schedules, budgets, and deliverable tracking while gaining exposure to project leadership responsibilities.
- Independently manage smaller-scale projects from concept through completion.
- Mentor junior team members on design tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Conduct design research and stay current with emerging materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree is a plus.
- 6–8 years of professional architectural experience.
- Strong understanding of architectural drafting principles, detailing, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino (or comparable 3D modeling software), Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of computational design tools such as Grasshopper is an advantage.
- Familiarity with applicable building regulations, codes, and professional standards (AIA, RIBA, ARB, or equivalent).
- Experience coordinating with structural and MEP consultants.
- Good understanding of materials, sustainability principles, and cost-efficient design solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills.
- A creative, solution-oriented professional who demonstrates initiative, leadership potential, and accountability.
