Designer

Summary

A Designer at a construction firm coordinating with quantity surveyors, architects, and clients on project design, materials, and budgets; day-to-day work involves preparing section drawings, sampler boards, and issuing work orders using AutoCAD, Revit, and Solidworks.

Job Descriptions & Responsibilities:

- Co-ordinate with Quantity Surveyors on tendered materials, budget and work on the design.

- To communicate and discuss with technical manager, client, architect or other relevant authorities on project scope, budget, troubleshooting and time schedule.

- Liaise with main contractor/architect and prepare section drawings, sampler board presentation with labelling, name of vendors and other relevant information for their selection and approval.

- Responsible for arranging and scheduling of raw materials to be processed in factory and delivery to site.

- Responsible for issuing work orders to Production Department.

- Liaise with purchaser for purchasing of raw materials with the submission of Purchase Requisition Form.


Job Requirements:

- Candidate must possess relevant Degree/Diploma.

- Preferably specialized in Architecture/Interior Design or equivalent.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Design Management.

- Excellent leadership, time management, analytical, communication, presentation and interpersonal skill.
