  • Participate in collaborative workshops with the Creative and Buying teams to develop trend boards, colour palettes, seasonal concepts, and category strategies.

  • Attend fit sessions and provide technical direction to ensure garments meet fit, quality, and design expectations.

  • Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and tech packs to support efficient product development and sampling.

  • Research and brief placement graphics, embroidery, print concepts, and yardage artwork to the Design Manager and Graphic Designer.

  • Partner closely with Product Developers and Suppliers throughout the development process to achieve design intent, quality standards, target margins, and critical path deadlines.

  • Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to support innovation, improve efficiencies, and maximise product lifecycle opportunities.

  • Continuously identify new product opportunities, fabrications, washes, trims, and design details relevant to the Princess Polly customer.

  • Mentor and support junior team members where required, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

  • What Success Looks Like:

  • Deliver styles from concept to ex-factory within 8 weeks, using no more than two samples.

  • Design and tech pack approximately 15 styles per week across multiple categories while maintaining quality and margin expectations.

  • Consistently achieve company win/pass/fail percentage metrics.

  • Deliver commercially successful ranges that drive sales, profitability, and customer engagement.

  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the design and development process.

  • Actively contribute to a solutions-focused, innovative, and high-performing team culture.

  • What You'll Need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline.

  • 4+ years' experience in a Fashion Designer role within a fast-paced fashion retail or supplier environment.

  • Experience designing graphic tees, fleece, and fashion graphics is highly regarded, but not essential.

  • Demonstrated success designing commercially relevant ranges for a trend-focused customer.

  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, pattern making, grading, and manufacturing processes.

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, as well as Excel and industry-standard design software.

  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to create accurate and detailed tech packs.

  • Excellent trend forecasting, market research, and commercial interpretation skills.

  • Fabric, wash, trim, and raw material knowledge.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence using sales and performance data to inform design decisions.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams and suppliers.

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.

  • A proactive, positive attitude and a genuine passion for product, fashion, and design.
