Summary
Designs travel goods like luggage, sketching concepts and refining prototypes while tracking fashion trends and production feasibility.
1). Designing:
- Design conceptualization and sketching for Travel goods
- Research on fashion and market trends.
- Present designs and reports to design head for approval and discuss need for modification.
2). Product Development:
- Develop and coordinate the fabrication of models or samples and the drafting of working drawings and specification sheets from sketches.
- Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform to specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
- Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market characteristics.
Education
Design Graduate from NIFT/ NID Product /Lifestyle Accessory design
Experience Requirements
5-7 years, preferably in travel goods or lifestyle products.
Mobility/Travel
Occasional travel to local market/factory.
Computer Skills
Adobe photoshop/ Illustrator/ Corel draw
Language
Proficient with written and spoken English.
