Designer/Sr. Designer

The Design Team is expanding and is seeking another Design Professional to join the team in Frederick, MD. Professional architectural licensure is not required for this role. The position is intended for individuals who are passionate about residential design and interested in continuing to build their technical and leadership skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to expand their responsibilities, develop expertise in residential product design, and continue to grow their career growth within ASD.

Primary Responsibilities

• Produce design documents for new and modified house designs in accordance with established standards, procedures, and direction.
• Coordinate with ASD disciplines and partner departments, including Project Teams, DDT, SST, and other project stakeholders, throughout the design process.
• Develop or support renderings, 3D models, and virtual walkthroughs to communicate design intent.
• Prepare and contribute to design presentations for internal and external customers.
• Identify design or coordination issues, evaluate solutions, and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Manage assigned workload, priorities, and deadlines with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Current architectural technicians and above, with a minimum of one year at ASD or in relevant service.
• Proficiency in elevation design, freehand sketching, BIM/CAD, and 3D computer modeling.
• Ability to use and understand the NVR option system.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, organize multiple assignments, and deliver work to schedule.

This position pays $65,000 - $80,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by factors including the candidate’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, and location.

Sr. Designer
This position pays $80,000 - $95,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by factors including the candidate’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, and location.
