Desktop Support Engineer (6 months contract / possible extension)

Description of Tasks

  • Daily routine checks on IT infrastructure to ensure they are working before office hours starts.
  • Perform daily batch tasks and to generate reports.
  • Support end-users on their computing issues via remote access or at user-side.
  • Provide 1"t level support to end users on desktop hardware and software.
  • Perform 1st level trouble shooting on Desktops problems, troubleshooting of OS related, in-house software, printer and other PC related problems for in-house corporate users.
  • Users profile administration
  • Maintain PC inventory (hardware and software)
  • Follow the help desk procedure for call tracking. Take ownership of all problems reported to the help desk. For unsolved outstanding problems, report and alert the Customer MIS through Customer internal escalation procedure.
  • Installation and configuration of software according to Customer standard.
  • Answer user's enquiries on software usage.
  • Perform software patches when necessary.

Qualification of Engineer

  • Minimum of 1-3 years working experience in a helpdesk, service desk or Desktop Support role.
  • Good hands-on experience with Windows 10 &11 as well as common business applications.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in support Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and Group administration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill with ability to communicate effectively with end-users and to manage user experience professionally.
  • Proven Helpdesk/Desktop Support experience within a busy, high volume call environment
  • Possess a positive working attitude and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision from Customer
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a customer-focused approach to resolving technical issues.

Shift hours

  • Rotative work shift – (1) 7am to 4pm, (2) 9am -6pm and (3)10am to 7pm. (Mondays to Fridays)
  • Rotative work schedule for public holidays that falls on a weekday, 7am to 4pm.
  • This Engineer will be primarily based in Optimum - Plaza 8, CBP office providing remote support and be activated to work in client office if one of the primary engineers in Suntec (10am) or Marina office (7am) is not available.

Work Locations

  • Site1: Optimum Office in Plaza 8, CBP (9am-6pm) – providing remote support
  • Site2: One Marina, Singapore (7am shift onsite support)
  • Site3: Suntec City Office (10am shift onsite support)
