A desktop support engineer provides technical assistance, maintains computer hardware and software, and resolves IT issues for employees within an organization
- Hardware Support: Repair and upgrade desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Software Management: Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and office applications.
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose wired and wireless LAN/WAN, VPN, and internet connection failures.
- User Administration: Manage accounts, passwords, and access permissions via Active Directory.
- Ticket Tracking: Respond to help desk requests, document problems, and track resolutions through ticketing systems
