Desktop Support Engineer
π― Job Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 desktop and technical support to end users.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Perform Windows OS installation, configuration, patching, and updates.
- Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications.
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and basic Active Directory tasks.
- Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
- Assist with IT asset inventory and desktop hardware management.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate support team.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, resolutions, and IT assets.
π οΈ Required Skills
- 1β2 years of experience in Desktop Support / IT Support / Technical Support.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience troubleshooting PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an IT support team.
π Education
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
β Preferred
- IT support certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or ITIL are an advantage.
- Experience with ticketing/helpdesk systems is preferred.
