Desktop & Workplace Support Engineer #IJO

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Service Delivery

  • Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.
  • Perform installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint devices.
  • Conduct device imaging, software packaging, patch management, and operating system upgrades.
  • Manage and support Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365 applications, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, VPN, wireless, and access-related issues.
  • Coordinate hardware replacements, warranty claims, and break-fix activities.
  • Ensure service requests and incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer environments, incidents, and resolutions.

Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary onsite technical representative for assigned customers.
  • Build strong relationships with customer IT teams and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular health checks and provide recommendations to improve endpoint performance, security, and user experience.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution.

Pre-Sales & Sales Support

  • Partner with the Sales team during customer meetings, presentations, and technical discussions.
  • Understand customer business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle to help secure new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in desktop support, endpoint engineering, or workplace services.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Windows 10/11
  • Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Active Directory
  • Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Endpoint Manager
  • SCCM/MECM
  • VPN and networking fundamentals
  • Experience supporting enterprise desktop and laptop environments.
  • Hands-on experience with device deployment and endpoint management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified certifications.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience supporting pre-sales or solution consulting activities.
