Deslag

Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and promptly notify the supervisor.

Inspect workpieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications.

Remove slag from steel using a chisel hammer and other appropriate tools.

Mark and/or tag materials with correct job numbers, piece marks, and other identifying information.

Signal crane operators to safely move large or heavy workpieces.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment, such as lifting up to 50lbs.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.

Prior experience in steel manufacturing or similar industry preferred but not required.

Ability to working a Rotating schedule, 4 days on, 2 days off, 12-hour shifts.
