Mid Senior Java Developer
Summary
Develops and maintains Java-based Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) applications, troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize manufacturing operations and system reliability.
- Design, develop, enhance, and support Java-based MES applications and integrations, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business objectives.
- Own complex technical deliverables and initiatives from requirements analysis through implementation, validation, deployment, and production support.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code using Java, SQL, and related enterprise development tools.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex MES application issues impacting manufacturing operations, data integrity, system performance, and business continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate manufacturing and quality requirements into robust technical solutions and drive successful implementation.
- Lead technical discussions, influence architecture decisions, and provide technical mentorship and guidance to other developers.
- Identify opportunities for system optimization, technical innovation, and continuous improvement across MES platforms and development processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, establish development standards, and promote engineering best practices across MES development teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
- 4–6 years of directly related experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Professional experience as a Java Developer, with strong ownership of enterprise application development and support.
- Hands-on experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming, SQL databases, debugging, and application troubleshooting.
- Experience with NetBeans IDE or similar Java development environments.
- Experience with Pnuts scripting or similar scripting languages used in MES environments.
