Will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining Python-based applications, automation, and data processing solutions that interface with the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP). The role focuses on developing reliable, scalable, and supportable solutions that enable efficient data ingestion, processing, orchestration, and integration across the Big Data Platform.

Are you someone who can

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Python-based applications and services that interface with Cloudera Data Platform components.
• Build and maintain automation scripts to streamline platform operations, monitoring, deployment, and support processes.
• Create reusable frameworks, libraries, and utilities to improve development productivity and standardization.
• Integrate solutions with Hadoop ecosystem services including Spark, Hive, Iceberg, HDFS/Ozone, and related technologies.
• Develop APIs and system integrations to support business and platform requirements
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across on-premises and cloud-based data environments.
• Create reusable frameworks, libraries, and utilities to improve development productivity and standardization.
• Integrate solutions with Hadoop ecosystem services including Spark, Hive, Iceberg, HDFS/Ozone, and related technologies.
• Develop APIs and system integrations to support business and platform requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and data processing issues.
• Monitor application performance and optimize code for reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to improve stability.
• Support platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Follow secure coding practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
• Explore opportunities for automation and intelligent operational processes.
• Contribute to platform modernization initiatives and emerging technology adoption.

Required Skills

• Python development.
• JAVA Development
• Linux/Unix administration and scripting.
• Shell scripting (Bash, Korn Shell, or similar).
• SQL and data querying.
• REST APIs and integration services.
• Git version control.
• CI/CD concepts and automation.
• JSON, XML, YAML, and data interchange formats.
• Understanding of distributed data processing concepts.
• Experience working with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP).
• Exposure to Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as:
• Apache Spark
• Hive
• Iceberg
• HDFS

• Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms.
• Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
