Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review and Retrospectives, ensuring effective delivery across Scrum teams.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Development, QA, DevOps and Infrastructure teams to manage dependencies, remove impediments and drive sprint commitments.
- Own and coordinate the end-to-end release lifecycle, including release planning, scheduling, readiness reviews, deployment coordination, validation and post-release activities.
- Maintain release calendars and coordinate across multiple applications/environments, ensuring alignment between development, testing, UAT and production deployment activities.
- Manage release dependencies, risks, issues, change requests, rollback plans and go/no-go criteria, escalating critical blockers appropriately.
- Track Agile delivery metrics such as velocity, sprint predictability, burndown/burnup, blockers and release milestones and provide transparent status reporting to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with DevOps and CI/CD teams using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms for controlled deployments and release automation.
- Facilitate release readiness/go-live meetings, ensuring required approvals, testing evidence, deployment plans and stakeholder communication are completed.
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, root-cause analysis and improvements to Agile and release-management processes.
- Support adherence to organizational change management, governance, audit and production release controls, particularly in regulated/BFSI environments.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban and SDLC methodologies.
- Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master handling cross-functional Agile teams.
- Strong experience in release planning, deployment coordination, environment management and production releases.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or equivalent Agile/project-management tools.
- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, Git, Jenkins/GitLab and automated deployment pipelines.
- Strong stakeholder management, dependency management, risk management and communication skills.
- Good understanding of ITIL Change/Release Management processes is preferred.
- CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master or ITIL certification would be an advantage.
