About Strix

We believe that software is the foundation of modern civilization, yet vulnerabilities threaten its integrity, security, and resilience. Strix is on a mission to solve security.

Strix builds autonomous AI penetration testing agents that think like attackers: discovering, validating, and helping fix real vulnerabilities across live applications, codebases, and infrastructure, continuously, not once a year. We are looking for strong technical people who want to work at the intersection of AI, security, and infrastructure.

About this role

We're seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to make Strix the tool every security engineer and developer reaches for. You'll own how developers experience Strix, from the open-source repo and docs to talks, demos, and content that shows real vulnerabilities being found.

You're excited about this role because you will…

  • Be the technical voice of Strix: write deep-dive posts, build demos, and speak at security and AI conferences

  • Own the open-source developer experience, docs, examples, quickstarts, and the GitHub community

  • Create content that shows Strix finding real vulnerabilities: writeups, videos, live streams, CTF-style challenges

  • Gather developer feedback and work directly with engineering to sharpen the product

  • Define the DevRel playbook from scratch as our first dedicated hire in this area

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, or security engineering with a public technical presence

  • Hands-on engineering ability: you can build real demos and read agent output critically (Python/TypeScript)

  • Strong offensive-security literacy, you can explain a vulnerability and why it matters

  • A portfolio of technical writing, talks, open-source work, or community contributions

  • A tendency to leave things in a better way than you found them

What we offer

  • Competitive salary with meaningful equity

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance

  • Office lunch and dinner (when working from our New York office)
