Development Chemist (Oil & Gas/ Lubricants/ Laboratory)
Summary
Develops and tests lubricant formulations in a lab, blending raw materials and analyzing trial results to meet performance targets while collaborating with R&D and affiliates.
- Location: Jurong East
- Salary: Up to $4.5k + VB
Job Descriptions
- Receive new raw material to modify existing and new product blend formulation for lubricants.
- Perform beaker blends and check the performance of trial oil.
- Analysis and study the trial oil results and identifies ways to improve it until it meets target performance with input from technical advisors and external sources.
- Responsible for tabulating results of formulation studies and making research reports.
- Make the customer test samples to affiliates.
- Make necessary equipment purchase when instructed by Manager (TDC).
- Technical discussion with Lubricants R&D and affiliates.
- Work on special test requests/requirements from regional sales personnel.
- Understand purpose of requests and work on samples then send them to affiliates within deadlines.
- Co-operate with other laboratory testing staff to upkeep the analytical instruments and housekeeping in the laboratory.
- Uphold and observe the safety requirements of the laboratory.
- Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management
