When you apply for this position, you're taking the first step in a process that goes beyond the ordinary. We aim to align your passions and skills with our vacancies, setting you on a path to exceptional career development and success.

DevOps (CI/CD) + AWS Engineer at BairesDev

In this role, you'll be the sole owner of an entire platform end-to-end at a fast-moving startup, designing and building infrastructure, setting up CI/CD pipelines, and deploying services across staging and production environments. High ownership and high autonomy define this role, and AI-native engineering is the single biggest success factor — you'll treat AI as a supervised force multiplier, never blindly trusting it on production infrastructure. This is your opportunity to work at startup pace with the full trust of a team that depends on your judgment to keep critical systems running reliably.

What You'll Do:

- Own AWS infrastructure design, implementation, and operations end-to-end.
- Set up, maintain, and teach CI/CD pipelines to developers across the organization.
- Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes (EKS) across staging and production.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Apply AI coding tools daily as a supervised force multiplier across infrastructure workflows.
- Implement GitOps workflows using Argo CD, Flux, or similar platforms.

What we are looking for:

- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in AWS infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
- Daily, active use of AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar, with a supervised, production-safe approach.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform preferred.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Strong US Eastern timezone overlap, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work during launches and incidents.
- Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice to have:

- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, Developer) or CKA.
- Build-vs-buy judgment with a default toward managed services and cost optimization.
- Track record mentoring developers and rolling out lightweight engineering processes such as branch protection, code review, and golden paths.
- Spark on Kubernetes operational experience.
- Familiarity with Go.
- Data engineering exposure including Aurora, Redshift, and ETL.
- Tolling industry experience.

How we do make your work (and your life) easier:

- 100% remote work (from anywhere).
- Excellent compensation in USD or your local currency if preferred
- Hardware and software setup for you to work from home.
- Flexible hours: create your own schedule.
- Paid parental leaves, vacations, and national holidays.
- Innovative and multicultural work environment: collaborate and learn from the global Top 1% of talent.
- Supportive environment with mentorship, promotions, skill development, and diverse growth opportunities.

Join a global team where your unique talents can truly thrive and make a significant impact!
