DevOps Developer
Summary
Hands-on DevOps role in Central London managing and optimising the infrastructure of a bespoke e-commerce platform (Aurora Commerce). Day to day: monitoring 24/7 production servers, driving uptime and performance tuning, and maintaining documentation and policies. Stack includes Linux (CentOS), Apache, MySQL, PHP, and KVM/VMware/AWS virtualization.
In this role you will manage and optimize a high-performance, bespoke e-commerce platform infrastructure. You will work closely with the dev team to ensure a robust, scalable Aurora Commerce environment across multiple servers and providers. You drive uptime, performance tuning, and proactive issue resolution in a 24/7 production setting. This is a hands-on DevOps position in Central London with meaningful impact on service reliability and platform growth.

- 5+ years in a high-traffic, production web environment
- Solid Linux systems engineering/administration experience
- Experience with 24/7 Linux-based web operations
- CentOS 6.x, Apache 2.x, MySQL 5.x, PHP 5.x
- Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP networking
- Firewall configuration and virtualization (KVM, VMware, AWS)
