Job Summary
About the Role We are looking for a CI/CD & Build Infrastructure Engineer with a strong QA and automation mindset to ensure the reliability, stability, and scalability of our build and deployment environments. The role focuses on CI/CD runner health, configuration and version management, installer validation, and proactive monitoring across application and firmware platforms. You will help detect issues early, reduce environment-related failures, and improve delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities • Runner and infrastructure checks: Ensure the health, availability, and performance of CI/CD runners and build infrastructure. Monitor connectivity, disk space, dependencies, and required tools. • Pipeline maintenance: Maintain and improve build and deployment pipelines for applications, firmware, and embedded software. • Configuration and version management: Manage tool, dependency, and build environment versions. Ensure documented configurations match actual environments and detect configuration drift. • Installer validation: Validate software installers and deployment artifacts, including installation, upgrades, uninstallation, and alignment with release requirements. • Deployment readiness: Verify required services, certificates, dependencies, and environment settings before releases. • Monitoring and troubleshooting: Configure health checks and alerts, investigate failures, and resolve build, deployment, and environment issues. • Automation: Develop reusable scripts and pipeline checks to automate routine validation and identify problems early. • Collaboration and documentation: Work with cross-functional engineering teams and maintain clear configuration records, validation results, and troubleshooting guides. Required Skills and Experience • Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar. • Strong understanding of build pipelines, release processes, and environment management. • Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation. • Experience managing tool versions, dependencies, and build environment consistency. • Experience validating installers and deployment artifacts. • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools. • Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or similar languages. • Solid troubleshooting skills across build, deployment, and environment issues. • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams. Nice to Have • Experience with firmware or embedded build pipelines, including cross compilation toolchains and firmware artifact generation. • Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Exposure to quality engineering or test automation practices.
