We are hiring a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to join a focused technology team based in Sharjah. Our client is an established organisation modernising its core systems and advancing its hybrid cloud setup. Joining a close unit of fewer than 10 people in the infrastructure team, you will report directly to the Infrastructure Head and connect day to day IT operations with modern cloud practices.

• As a Cloud and DevOps Engineer, you will maintain cloud systems, automate pipelines, and ensure infrastructure remains stable, scalable, and secure
• You will manage Kubernetes clusters, oversee deployment pipelines, and support foundational infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, alongside Azure Active Directory
• Working alongside application and security teams, you will help build an efficient, modern technology environment

Discover the responsibilities

• Manage and monitor cloud environments, including provisioning, scaling, and decommissioning resources
• Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters on Azure Kubernetes Service
• Maintain cloud uptime, performance, and workload stability
• Identify performance issues and optimise infrastructure resource usage
• Track cloud spend and introduce cost reduction measures
• Set up disaster recovery and business continuity setups using Azure Site Recovery or comparable tools
• Build and support continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting alongside Ansible and Terraform
• Use Infrastructure as Code practices for reliable, repeatable environment builds
• Configure monitoring, log aggregation, and alerting with tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Coordinate with security teams to apply access controls, network security groups, system patches, and compliance updates

Discover the requirements

• Proven background in cloud administration and automation workflows
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, specifically on Azure Kubernetes Service
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Demonstrated experience with Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
• Working knowledge of server administration, network security, and Azure Active Directory
• Hands-on experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Previous work experience within the banking or financial services sector is an advantage
