DevOps Engineer

Abacus is seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join the Digital Transformation team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure while enabling efficient CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across environments
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline release cycles and improve system reliability
- Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and resilience
- Implement best practices for containerization, orchestration, and microservices
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, ensuring minimal downtime
- Maintain system documentation, processes, and operational procedures
- Enforce security, compliance, and governance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands‑on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with cloud platforms preferred GCP (AWS, Azure)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in agile or transformation‑driven environments
- Knowledge of security best practices and DevSecOps principles
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Exposure to microservices and distributed systems
