Our public sector client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to develop, support, and enhance secure internal digital solutions, joining on a fixed-term basis until mid-2027, with the possibility of extension.
This role involves working closely with stakeholders and teams to deliver agile, reliable, and maintainable solutions that improve operational efficiency. We're particularly interested in candidates who enjoy understanding how systems work, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing practical solutions that make a real difference.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure internal business solutions
- Develop automation workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Support, monitor, and troubleshoot applications and platform services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process maps, and solution diagrams
- Follow DevOps, security, privacy, and service management best practices

Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification in IT or a related discipline, with a curious mindset and passion for continuous improvement
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, particularly SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate
- Knowledge of databases and data modelling (SQL, Dataverse, Snowflake, or similar)
- Knowledge of DevOps, agile delivery practices, and supporting system operations
- Strong documentation skills, including technical documentation, diagrams, and process flows
- Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, etc.) advantageous; exposure to Azure, Foundry, Copilot, GitHub, or personal project portfolios highly regarded
