Join an exciting company that develops and operates scalable end-to-end solutions for cashless payments in e-commerce. Our focus goes beyond software development—we are equally committed to ensuring the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of our applications.

Your challenge:

As a DevOps & Application Manager (m/f/d), you will support the development lifecycle of our payment environments—from the initial idea and implementation through to production. We offer a tailored onboarding plan, including a mentoring program and regular training opportunities to support your professional growth.

What you can expect:

  • You will be responsible for the operation and continuous enhancement of our Java-based applications (WildFly) and their associated databases, ensuring reliable and high-performing operation in Linux server and Kubernetes environments.

  • You will manage deployments, updates, and rollbacks while taking system dependencies and operational processes into account. You will analyze system landscapes holistically and resolve incidents in a structured and sustainable manner.

  • You will build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab Ultimate or Jenkins.

  • You will drive the automation and optimization of operational processes and ensure reliable system performance through monitoring, telemetry, and performance analysis.

  • You will document processes and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will also support the migration of our applications to the cloud.

What you’ll need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification—or equivalent professional experience in a DevOps or CI/CD environment.

  • Solid hands-on experience operating Linux-based systems.

  • Practical experience designing, operating, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines (e.g. with GitLab CI or Jenkins) as well as a strong understanding of deployment and release processes. You are familiar with common build and deployment tools (e.g. Maven) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • A strong understanding of infrastructure, system architectures, and the interaction of production systems. Ideally, you have worked in business-critical or regulated environments and have a strong awareness of security and quality standards (e.g. PCI compliance).

  • Ideally, you have gained initial experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS/EKS) and cloud migration projects.

  • Experience with application monitoring, performance optimization, and operating stable production environments.

  • Good German and English language skills complete your profile.

Benefits:

  • Feel-good atmosphere: Free fruit and drinks (coffee and tea), company events (summer parties, team events, etc.)
  • Benefits: Discount on tickets purchased from our webshop, clearing shifts (assist with entry and then enjoy the concert or festival), and many corporate benefits at discounted rates at various shops.
  • Mobility and accessibility: Public transport subsidy, partnership with Bike Leasing for discounted bicycle purchases, and a central location with excellent accessibility.
  • Company culture: Open and agile company culture, flat hierarchies, informal atmosphere, and regular feedback sessions.
