As a DevOps Engineer - Associate 2, you will engage in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimize operational efficiency. You will analyze client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilization of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives. As an Associate, you will focus on learning and contributing to client engagement and projects while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You will be exposed to clients to learn how to build meaningful client connections, manage and inspire others, and grow your personal brand by deepening your technical knowledge of firm services and technology resources.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimizing operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support. Working within our Technology Consulting practice, you will be part of a dynamic team that values curiosity, adaptability, and reliability. Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) for automated build, test, and deployment across environments for multiple services
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE) and Docker.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and deployment workflows using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application performance, resource utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Understand database operations across RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB including backups, replication, failover strategies, and performance tuning.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident resolution when production issues arise.
- Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and practices to continuously improve the developer experience.
Requirements
Technical Skills (Must have)
- Working knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, and DevOps / CI/CD delivery practices.
- Strong proficiency with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms with hands-on experience in production environments.
- Deep expertise in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code -Terraform is strongly preferred.
- Advanced scripting skills in Bash/Shell, Python for automation and tooling.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals - DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and service mesh.
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills (Nice to have):
- Familiarity with security and compliance practices including RBAC, secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).
- Experience with serverless architectures (Lambda, Cloud Functions, Fargate).
- Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Experience supporting CCaaS or contact center platforms (Amazon Connect, Genesys, NICE CXone) infrastructure
- Multi-cloud experience (AWS + Azure)
- Security/compliance experience (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS as applicable)
- Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems
- Exposure to database administration (DynamoDB, RDS, Azure SQL)

- Data & Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis.
Methodologies & Tools:
- Experience working in SAFE Agile / Agile / Scrum environments
- Strong understanding of SRE principles and incident management.
- Familiarity with change management frameworks is a plus.

Certifications (Nice-to-Have):
- AWS Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
What You Must Have
- B. Engg./ B. Tech., M. Engg./ M. Tech. from a premier Technical/ Engineering School
- 2 - 5 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
