DevOps Engineer AWS

In this hands-on senior DevOps role, you will own and evolve a global AWS cloud platform for a leading sports technology company, delivering scalable, secure infrastructure. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to embed security and compliance into the delivery lifecycle and shape architectural standards. Expect to design reusable infrastructure patterns and modernise the stack with containerisation, serverless and AI-driven operations. This is a technical leadership position focused on impact, resilience, and performance.

• Own and evolve the global AWS cloud platform across infrastructure, automation, reliability and security
• Design and improve cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines and develop monitoring/observability frameworks
• Embed security best practices and maintain ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR compliance
• Influence technical strategy, set architectural standards and create reusable infra patterns
• Explore containerisation, serverless and AI-driven operations
• Lead with hands-on technical leadership to shape the platform's future direction
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security and IT teams to align across functions

• Significant experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering
• Deep expertise with AWS and associated security/compliance practices
• Strong infrastructure automation (IaC) with Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and observability tooling
• Experience with big platform re-design and cloud infrastructure architecture
• Good understanding of AppSec principles and secure build/deploy pipelines
• Experience managing hybrid environments including on-prem
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
