DevOps Engineer [AZURE | FULL ONSITE]

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join DAPL Information Technology Management Services Philippines Inc. in a contract-based position. This role is based full onsite in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila and offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring seamless deployment, infrastructure management, and operational excellence. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving our development processes, system reliability, and overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability
• Manage and optimise CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, reducing time to market and improving quality
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure health, implementing proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures
• Implement and manage containerisation solutions using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
• Ensure security best practices across all infrastructure and deployment processes, implementing compliance controls and vulnerability management
• Provide technical support and guidance to development teams on DevOps practices and cloud platform capabilities
• Document processes, procedures, and system configurations to maintain knowledge repository and ensure team continuity
• Participate in on-call rotation schedules to support critical infrastructure and production systems

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including virtual machines, App Services, Azure DevOps, and related services
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, with hands‑on experience using platforms such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Solid understanding of containerisation technologies, particularly Docker, with experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes or Azure Container Instances
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code principles and experience with tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewall configuration
• Understanding of security practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, ELK stack, or Prometheus
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar are highly desirable
