DevOps Engineer (Azure) - Hybrid, Madrid + RELOCATION
Summary
DevOps Engineer helps migrate banking software to Azure, builds GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and coaches teams on cloud-native practices using Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC.
Overview
We are looking for a Software/DevOps Engineer to play a key role in helping our software development teams migrate to the cloud and adopt DevOps best practices across the project of the client from the banking sector.
Work Location: hybrid in Madrid (3 days at the office, 2 WFH), Spain.

Responsibilities
- Support multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and product teams in onboarding to our internal DevOps platform and curated Azure services
- Drive the re-platforming/migration of applications to cloud infrastructure while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, compliance controls, and secure-by-design principles
- Drive the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab, ensuring alignment with platform standards and compliance requirements
- Collaborate closely with development teams, educating and enabling them on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native development
- Contribute to improving the developer experience by creating templates, documentation, and training materials that simplify platform adoption
Qualifications
- Software engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in application development (Java, .NET, Python, or similar)
- Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and migrating between toolchains (Bitbucket/Jenkins → GitLab)
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and modern delivery practices
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Experience with deployment of containerized workloads and orchestration (Nexus, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working in air-gapped or restricted enterprise environments, where all external dependencies must be consumed from internal registries
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a strong advantage
- Fluency in English
- Experience working in agile environments (SAFe or similar) and collaborating across multiple teams
