DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Summary

Design and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, AKS clusters, and CI/CD pipelines while automating deployments with Terraform and Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
Build, maintain, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments for containerized applications.
Manage SQL and MongoDB databases, including backup, performance tuning, and scalability.
Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
Deploy, manage, and monitor Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect environments across SaaS/PaaS platforms.
Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and other scripting languages.
Implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system reliability, performance, and proactive alerting.
Integrate DevSecOps tools to enhance code quality, vulnerability management, and security compliance.
Ensure cloud infrastructure and deployment processes adhere to security best practices and governance standards.
Collaborate closely with software development teams to streamline release pipelines, resolve production issues, and continuously improve deployment processes.
Support operational excellence through incident response, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform enhancements.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for critical production incidents when required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
1–3 years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering role, supporting software development teams.
Hands‑on experience managing cloud infrastructure, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and containerized application environments.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and modern cloud-native technologies.
Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.

Experience with .NET, Python, JavaScript, Datadog, Snyk, or Apache Kafka will be considered an advantage.
Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud technologies are a plus.
