DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Automation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer to join their technology team, operating under a hybrid work model based in Sandton . Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and testing.


• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.


• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.


• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize deployment processes.


• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.


• Ensure the security and compliance of the infrastructure and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.


• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.


• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).


• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.


• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is a plus.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team .
