DevOps Engineer - Cloud Automation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer focused on Cloud Automation to join their expanding technology division in Richards Bay . You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds, testing, and deployment.
• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and scaling using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, and implement proactive solutions to ensure stability.
• Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code scripts and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong focus on automation.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and configuration management tools.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and familiarity with container orchestration.
• Excellent understanding of networking, security, and monitoring principles.
