We are accelerating our cloud transformation strategy by scaling up our delivery capacity to run multiple migration streams in parallel. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team responsible for migrating core business applications to Microsoft Azure. Your focus will be on rehosting existing workloads with high reliability and minimal disruption, while establishing the architectural foundation for future cloud optimization.
This is you
Solid experience with Windows Server and Linux administration, GIT, and networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN)
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS – Azure VMs, VNets, NSGs, storage, and hybrid connectivity (VPN / ExpressRoute)
Practical experience with cloud migration / lift-and-shift tooling such as Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery
Experience administering .NET (and ideally legacy Windows-based) business applications
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (backup/restore, migration, basic tuning) and SQL
Experience with Proxy / Load Balancer, IIS, Nginx, or Apache and reverse-proxy configuration
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar
Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Familiarity with monitoring and logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a proactive, independent, detail-oriented work style
Fluent in Czech or Slovak; good command of English for technical documentation and communication
This is your role
Plan and execute the lift-and-shift migration of applications from on-premises to Microsoft Azure, minimizing downtime and risk.
Assess existing workloads, dependencies, and networking, and design the target Azure landing zone (VMs, networking, storage, connectivity).
Automate provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure-as-Code and build repeatable migration runbooks.
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and post-migration release management.
Administer Windows and Linux servers, SQL Server databases, web/proxy layers, and ensure stability, security, and performance.
Configure monitoring, backup, and disaster-recovery for the migrated workloads and conduct post-migration validation and capacity planning.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and cut-over issues in close cooperation with development and client support teams.
