Devops Engineer - Contract
Summary
Build and optimize Azure-based data infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/Bicep), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools to support scalable, secure data platforms.
This is a contract opportunity for a Data Infrastructure Analyst to support the build and optimisation of a modern Azure data platform. You will play a key role in delivering scalable, automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, working closely with data and engineering teams on high-impact projects.

The Role
- Design and implement infrastructure as code using Bicep and Terraform across Azure environments
- Build and optimise CI CD pipelines within Azure DevOps to enable reliable deployments
- Automate operational processes using PowerShell and Azure CLI
- Work closely with data engineers to support platforms including Databricks and Azure data services
- Monitor and improve infrastructure performance, security, and reliability
- Document technical designs and support knowledge sharing across teams
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep
- Proven ability to design and maintain CI CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Hands-on expertise across core Azure services including compute, storage, and networking
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell and Azure CLI
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, including Databricks
- Working knowledge of Python for automation or engineering tasks
