DevOps Engineer (Contract)

Job Description: MSSG is looking for a DevOps Engineer to bridge the gap between development and operations by building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes. The role focuses on automation, reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment. Manage and monitor applications and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Collaborate with development teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and deployment issues. Support release management and production deployments. Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and automation. Drive DevOps best practices across teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). At least 6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure roles. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Experience managing Linux environments (Windows experience is a plus). Proficiency in scripting or programming (Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar). Experience with version control systems (Git). Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools. Familiarity with security and compliance best practices.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.). Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Knowledge of networking, load balancing, and DNS. Exposure to SRE practices. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
