DevOps Engineer

Summary

This DevOps Engineer role involves supporting and developing enterprise-scale GitHub and CI/CD platforms within a global payments organization. The position focuses on cloud and automation technologies including AWS, EKS, Terraform, and various scripting languages.

I'm currently recruiting for a DevOps Engineer to join a global payments organisation within its centralPlatform Engineering team.

This is a genuine hands-on DevOps opportunity, with responsibility for supporting and developing enterprise-scale GitHub and CI/CD platforms used across the organisation. The role offers significant technical ownership and the opportunity to work across a modern cloud and automation environment.

Key technologies:

  • AWS / EKS
  • Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
  • GitHub Enterprise / GitHub Actions
  • CI/CD
  • Python / Bash / Go

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong hands-on DevOps or Platform Engineering experience
  • Solid AWS and Terraform experience
  • Good working knowledge of Kubernetes / EKS
  • Strong Linux and infrastructure troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Experience working with GitHub, ideally at enterprise scale
  • A track record of taking genuine ownership of technical projects
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and senior stakeholders

You do not need to have experience across every technology listed. The hiring team is particularly interested in strong engineering fundamentals, problem-solving ability and genuine hands-on experience, rather than simply having a long list of technologies on your CV.

The opportunity:

  • Location: London
  • Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office
  • Global payments organisation
  • Central Platform Engineering team
  • Exposure to GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development
  • Opportunity to work at significant enterprise scale
