Directeam empowers startups to scale AWS efficiently through our premier FinOps ecosystem. We combine our flagship automated savings engine, Sombrero Savings, with our latest breakthrough: a Real-Time AI FinOps Agent. As a top-tier AI-Native AWS Partner, we don’t just manage costs, we provide a strategic advantage that converts cloud waste into business runway.

Our innovation is delivering massive market impact. Our AI-backed service has already been adopted by our client base, delivering an average monthly cost reduction of over 30%. This innovation uniquely positions us as the dominant cloud optimization partner.

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team that stands up and manages our customers' AWS environments day to day. This is a partner-side role: you'll take ownership of customer onboarding and offboarding, work across FinOps, AWS security, and Landing Zone setup, and grow into a well-rounded cloud engineer. We're less focused on years of experience than on the person, someone who takes real ownership, is highly organized, and is eager to keep learning more and more of the AWS stack.

Requirements

  • Onboard new customers onto AWS - set up secure, multi-account landing zones using Landing Zone Accelerator on AWS (LZA), account structure, guardrails, and baselines, mentored by senior engineers.
  • Offboard customers cleanly and safely - decommission accounts and resources with the right controls and handover.
  • FinOps - help customers understand and reduce cloud spend: cost visibility, budgets and anomaly alerts, rightsizing, and optimization recommendations.
  • AWS security - apply security best practices across customer environments: IAM, guardrails, security baselines, and monitoring aligned to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support across customer AWS environments - monitoring, troubleshooting, and keeping things healthy.
  • Keep onboarding checklists, runbooks, and configuration documentation clear, current, and repeatable.
  • Collaborate closely with senior cloud engineers, solutions engineers, and customers.

What we are looking for

Must-Have

  • Takes ownership - sees tasks through and cares about doing them right.
  • Highly organized - comfortable running structured, checklist-driven processes like customer onboarding.
  • Eager to learn - genuinely wants to go deeper and deeper into the AWS stack, security, FinOps, AI enablement, and DevOps.
  • Foundational understanding of AWS and core cloud concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and the command line, basic scripting in Python or Bash.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and clear communication.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken). Hebrew an advantage given customer-facing work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent practical experience (relevant IDF/military experience applies).

Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to FinOps tooling or cloud cost management.
  • Any hands-on experience with AWS landing zones / LZA, AWS Organizations, or Control Tower.
  • AWS security exposure - IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, or similar.
  • DevOps skills - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS).
  • AI enablement - curiosity about or exposure to generative AI on AWS (Bedrock) or Anthropic's tooling. A real differentiator on our team.
  • Any AWS certification (e.g. Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect - Associate).

Our office is located at Beit Gibor Sport Tower, Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv Savidor Central railway station.
