Design, automate, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for eMAG’s Marketplace, migrating on-prem systems and optimizing performance, security, and scalability using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

DevOps Engineer (Engineering, Marketplace Team)
What you’ll have to do:
- Participate in migrating on-prem services to the Cloud;
- Configure and tune a variety of services in order to increase system stability, performance and security;
- Develop, maintain and improve automation for all our systems;
- Capacity planning and performance tuning for high traffic events such as Black Friday;
- Get involved in designing and implementation of new features;
- Troubleshoot issues and provide support for internal teams;
- Identify repetitive issues or tasks and focus on automation and implementation of permanent solutions;
- Continuous improvement of monitoring and alerting systems.
What makes you a good fit:
- 5+ years of experience working with Linux in various flavors (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine etc), containerization (Docker, Podman);
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab/Github/Bit Bucket/Jenkins, automation (Puppet, Ansible), high availability, load balancing and caching;
- Have good knowledge of versioning using Git;
- Strong experience with Kubernetes cluster management and deployments in production;
- Experienced with Bash/Python scripting, able to use regular expressions;
- Solid experience working with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform;
- Experienced in using monitoring tools (Grafana, Statsd, ELK stack, Prometheus, NewRelic, etc.);
- Good knowledge of networking services, protocols, etc (routing, VPN, DNS);
- Have good knowledge of web services and technologies (nginx, fastcgi, php-fpm, varnish, haproxy).

- Knowledge and experience working with cloud services: AWS, GCP, Azure;
- Relational or non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Couchbase, Redis)
- Search engines (ElasticSearch, SOLR).
