The role:
My client, an expanding FinTech organisation, are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their growing team.
This role requires you to work 2 days a week in the office in central London.
Responsibilities:
- Building and automating on-prem Linux Infrastructure
- Utilising tools such as Terraform for IaC
- Working on various containerised environments such as Kubernetes / OpenShift
- Contributing to automation via Python and Ansible
- Working on GitOps workflows
- Participating in architectural discussions and adding value
- Supporting various teams with build, CI/CD and devtooling
- Working with large scale Linux systems – including deployments, configuration management, and containers
Skills required:
- Solid all round Linux experience, comfortable on the command line
- Scripting via both Bash and Python
- Terraform / Ansible
- Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls
- Some container exposure – Kubernetes or Docker
- Exposure around Databases and Observability is highly desirable
- Previous experience working within FinTech / Financial Services is highly desirable
