Position Overview
This is a senior DevOps Engineering role focused on building and scaling the infrastructure behind a cloud-based platform. The position goes beyond maintenance and offers significant ownership over AWS infrastructure, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and the overall developer experience. You'll work closely with engineering teams to automate deployments, improve release processes, implement Infrastructure as Code, strengthen security, and build reliable, scalable systems. The team is looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving automation, and influencing platform strategy.
Responsabilities
- Standardize deployments through fully automated, one-click workflows that are scalable, repeatable, and consistent across multiple environments.
- Support development teams by designing and improving SDLC processes, including environments, CI/CD pipelines, templates, local development tooling, and delivery best practices.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform on AWS, ensuring all changes are tested, reviewed, version-controlled, and maintainable.
- Own and maintain the SDLC toolchain, including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harbor, Nexus, SonarQube, Trivy, ArgoCD, and Helm.
- Design and implement networking and service mesh solutions, including VPCs, connectivity for air-gapped environments, and Istio-based architectures.
- Embed security and compliance into all stages of the software development lifecycle through secrets management, RBAC, system hardening, and automation.
- Establish and maintain observability practices focused on reliability, performance, and business impact through effective monitoring and alerting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement release strategies, including Helm-based deployments, ArgoCD workflows, and canary or blue-green deployments.
- Lead system design discussions by identifying challenges, evaluating trade-offs, documenting decisions, and recommending scalable, long-term solutions.
Qualifications

Proven experience of 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or cloud infrastructure environments.
- Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Python, Makefiles, and Bash.
- Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, OpenSearch, and AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT).
- Experience with GitHub administration, including repository management, permissions, and governance.
- Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.Experience supporting JVM- and TypeScript-based software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Familiarity with data technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Apache Ignite.
- Experience working with API gateways and related integration technologies.
- Knowledge of web servers and load balancing solutions, including NGINX and HAProxy.
- Experience with messaging and queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ and Amazon SQS.Familiarity with DevOps and deployment tools including SonarQube, Helm, Harbor, and Nexus.
