DevOps engineer (IT & security)

JetConvert helps businesses across Australia, the US, and New Zealand migrate their accounting data to Xero. With a lean onshore team and a capable offshore delivery team, we're ISO 27001 certified and serious about data security, because our clients trust us with their most sensitive information.

The role

You'll bring a DevOps mindset to how we build, ship, and secure our environment: automating what's manual, tightening our deployment pipelines, and improving the tooling behind our migration platform. You'll also own our security posture, keep our remote-first environment running smoothly, and act as the escalation point for our offshore sys admin. We want someone who pushes for better ways of working, not someone who keeps things the way they've always been.

What you'll be doing

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation

• Identify manual, repetitive processes and replace them with better tooling

• Own and maintain our ISO 27001 ISMS: audits, risk registers, controls, evidence

• Manage Microsoft 365 / cloud infrastructure for a fully remote workforce

• Oversee and mentor our offshore systems administrator

• Handle endpoint management, VPN, access controls, and identity (Intune or similar)

• Lead incident response and security event management

• Manage third-party and vendor risk across onshore and offshore operations

• Ensure data sovereignty and compliance obligations are met across our AU, US, and NZ client base

• Keep clear, up-to-date documentation across systems, processes, and incidents

• Keen to grow your remit: pick up new tools, new problems, new areas of ownership

• Comfortable proposing change and seeing it through, not just flagging it

• A strong, clear communicator, in writing and in conversation, across technical and non-technical audiences

• You believe good documentation is part of the job, not an afterthought

What we're looking for

• DevOps experience: CI/CD, automation, infrastructure-as-code

• Solid experience in systems administration, cloud-first environments preferred

• Hands-on ISO 27001 experience: implementation, not just awareness

• Comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment

• Experience supporting or overseeing offshore teams is a strong plus
