As our first DevOps Engineer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines and automation processes on GCP. This role requires a minimum of **3 years of hands-on experience** with GCP, specifically in setting up scaling systems, writing scripts, and automating processes. ## Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform for efficient and reliable software delivery. - Expertise in setting up a high-frequency trading platform that expects near-zero latency across systems. - Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate CI/CD processes into the software development lifecycle. - Configure and manage GCP services to support scalable and automated deployment workflows. - Implement infrastructure as code using tools like **Terraform** or **Deployment Manager** to manage GCP resources. - Write scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. - Optimize and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to improve performance, reliability, and scalability. - Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to DevOps and GCP. ## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Engineering**, or a related field. - Minimum of **6-7+ years** of professional experience working with Google Cloud Platform. - Strong expertise in setting up scaling systems on GCP, utilizing services like **Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine**, and/or **App Engine**. - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., **Bash, Python, Go**) to automate tasks and develop tools. - Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as **Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD**, or **CircleCI**. - Solid understanding of infrastructure as code principles and hands-on experience with **Terraform, Deployment Manager**, or similar tools. - Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools on GCP (e.g., **Stackdriver, Prometheus**). - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams. ## Preferred Skills - **GCP certification** (e.g., Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) is a plus. - Experience with other cloud platforms (**AWS, Azure**) is beneficial. - Knowledge of containerization technologies like **Docker** and orchestration tools such as **Kubernetes**. ## Experience - Minimum of **6-7+ years** of professional experience in a relevant role. ## Environment - The position offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with talented teams to enhance our CI/CD capabilities on the Google Cloud Platform. ## Salary - Not specified. ## Growth Opportunities - Potential for career advancement within our innovative team. ## Benefits - Not specified.
