We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to support a leading banking client in Singapore. The role will focus on microservices deployment, CI/CD automation and enterprise observability. The engineer will work closely with application development teams to implement observability, troubleshoot telemetry and deployment issues, and support reliable application delivery across environments. Key Responsibilities
Deploy and support microservices on Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
Build, maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
Implement and support observability solutions using Grafana, Mimir, Tempo, ClickHouse and OpenTelemetry Collectors.
Work directly with development teams to instrument applications for metrics, logs and distributed tracing.
Support Kafka-based telemetry pipelines.
Troubleshoot application, deployment and telemetry issues.
Automate environment setup and application onboarding activities.
Integrate observability capabilities into application delivery pipelines.
Support performance validation and production readiness activities.
Participate in cutover planning and production deployments.
Provide production stabilisation and post-implementation support.
Work with development, infrastructure and support teams to drive adoption of DevOps and observability practices.
Requirements
3-5 years of relevant DevOps or Platform Engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
Good experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
Experience with Grafana and modern observability/monitoring solutions.
Knowledge or experience with OpenTelemetry and application instrumentation.
Good understanding of containerised microservices architecture.
Experience troubleshooting deployment and production issues.
Programming or scripting knowledge in Python and/or Node.js is advantageous.
Experience with Mimir, Tempo, ClickHouse and/or Kafka is advantageous.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
