DevOps engineer (4+ years) designing CI/CD pipelines and automating AWS and hybrid infrastructure (VMware, Linux/Windows, containers) with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation, plus SRE monitoring via Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog. Supports 24x7 mission-critical, regulated financial-industry systems in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and release processes across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and related tools.
- Manage deployments across AWS and hybrid infrastructure, including VMware, Linux, Windows, containers, databases, and serverless services.
- Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to improve system availability, scalability, monitoring, disaster recovery, and resilience.
- Integrate and maintain DevOps tools, including GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
- Develop automation scripts and support cloud-native services, messaging platforms, and AI-driven monitoring.
- Ensure secure deployments and compliance with applicable technology and financial industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation, release governance, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support in 24x7 mission-critical environments and mentor junior team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, automation, and release management across hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and familiarity with Azure, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with VMware, Linux, Windows Server, storage, networking, and data centre operations.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, IAM, SSO, and messaging services.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, and automation scripting.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, security, compliance, and release governance in 24x7 production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments is an advantage.
