Summary

A DevOps Engineer joins an established Azure-first SaaS company in Manchester (hybrid, 3 days in office) to manage and optimise its cloud environment: building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, automating deployments, using IaC (Terraform/Bicep/ARM) and Docker, and improving monitoring and security. Needs 3+ years in a DevOps role.

Location: Manchester City Centre (Hybrid — 3 days in office / 2 days WFH)

I'm currently looking for: DevOps Engineer (Azure, CI/CD, Terraform/Bicep, Docker)

Our client is an established SaaS business with a mature, Azure-first platform supporting their development and production environments. They're growing their engineering function and looking to bring in a DevOps Engineer to help manage and optimise their cloud environment.

This role sits within the IT & Infrastructure function, reporting into the IT & Infrastructure Director, and is a new headcount created through growth and demand.

You'll get exposure across the full DevOps lifecycle, working on:

  • CI/CD pipeline design and implementation using Azure DevOps tooling
  • Automating build, test and deployment processes to improve velocity and reliability
  • Integrating code quality, security and testing tools (e.g. SonarCloud, Snyk, WhiteSource)
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
  • Deploying and supporting applications across Azure App Services, Function Apps and other Azure services
  • Deployment strategies including blue/green, canary and rolling releases
  • Observability and monitoring with Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics
  • Security best practices across pipelines, source control and cloud infrastructure

You don't need to be an expert across everything.

We're looking for someone with 3+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer, strong CI/CD experience and solid grounding in Infrastructure as Code and containerisation (Docker).

There's a genuine focus on ownership, automation and building reliable, scalable infrastructure, plus the chance to join the on-call rota and help shape incident response as the team grows.
