DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimise cloud and container-based environments.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
• Implement infrastructure security measures and vulnerability management processes.
• Build and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventative measures.
• Support products and services throughout their lifecycle, including deployments and updates.
• Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and operational teams to improve delivery processes.
• Drive automation initiatives that enhance reliability, performance, and scalability.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Equivalent relevant qualifications and experience will be considered.
• 2 to 5 years of DevOps experience.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure and containerised environments.
• Exposure to infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines.
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving operational issues.
• Database administration and design experience.
• Strong Linux administration knowledge.
• Proficiency in scripting using Bash, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with containerisation technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Akamai, or Hetzner.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Timescale databases.
• Monitoring and observability experience using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Understanding of infrastructure security, compliance, and vulnerability management.
• AWS DevOps Engineer or similar cloud certifications.
• UI and UX exposure.
• Experience working within quality management environments.
